Our original site was established almost 50 years ago in the Southside of Glasgow. Since then, the unique Pets‘n’Vets ethos and style of veterinary care has infused seven more surgeries: Pets’n’Vets Crookfur, Queen’s Park Veterinary Surgery, Hairmyres Vets, Blantyre Vets, McDonald Vets Scotstoun, Queen Margaret Drive, as well the cutting edge Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital.
At our heart we are a local business made up of animal lovers. We are incredibly passionate about what we do, and believe we are a little different to other Veterinary practices. We offer the most up to date facilities and treatment, whilst firmly adhering to the values of traditional Glasgow veterinary care. All of our practices are RCVS accredited, including our Roundhouse Hospital which has been accredited with the prestigious RCVS Small Animal Hospital Accreditation.
Partner Oliver Jackson explains a little more about our ethos and style: “Pets‘n’Vets is an entirely locally owned business. All three partners grew up within walking distance of the original Pollokshaws branch, and we all gained experience as school students at the practice. Plus we all studied at Glasgow University Veterinary School."
“Ivor, Ross and I understand our community, its needs, its sense of humour and its pragmatic desire to have the proper care for its pets at a sensible cost. We share this no nonsense approach, and it forms the core of how we approach our business."
“We are incredibly proud and protective of our excellent reputation, so we continually invest in equipment and training for our staff. Our very talented vets and nurses keep their skills right up to date, allowing us to undertake, where appropriate, some of the most complex veterinary procedures. We find that by keeping things local and wherever possible in-house, we can keep the costs for our clients as low as possible."
The Pets‘n’Vets Family is a great Glasgow success story; an expanding and progressive network of practices, with a very proud history and strong local roots.
