Read more about what it is like working in Veterinary Care.
A career in Veterinary, whether as an RVN or Surgeon, is as rewarding as it is challenging. We're regularly asked to attend local schools' careers evenings, to answer questions about the academic requirements for a career in animal healthcare, as well as to talk about what it’s actually like to wake up each day and come to work here.
Having a love of both people and pets is crucial, and for over 40 years we've opened our doors to offer work experience and placements to those looking to have a career in animal healthcare - whether as a Vet, a Veterinary Nurse or an Animal Care Assistant.
We are incredibly proud of our excellent reputation, and through continuous learning we aim to keep up with the most modern veterinary techniques which allows us to do more for the pets we see without the need for a specialist referral.
Our Vets and Vet Nurses regularly attend CPD training in the latest veterinary health care techniques, and we are committed to investing in the most up to date equipment. As we are locally owned, we can be progressive in our thinking, and have the ability to work alongside our teams to facilitate exceptional personal development plans.
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons website offers loads of fantastic advice for those looking to join the profession, including where to study to gain Animal Healthcare qualifications, and what school results are required to do so.
As part of our Junior Vets Club, we also run a series of Workshops for our young Pets’n’Vets Family members where they gain hands on experience of being a Vet or Vet nurse. You can read more here...
